Mattan Club, Help Line win matches

Srinagar, July 25: Mattan Youngster Club and Help Line won there respective matches in the inaugural day of the Golden jubilee Cricket tournament at Sports Ground Bijjbehra on Friday.
 The first match of the day was played between Mattan Youngster Club and Parigam Sports. Mattan club won the toss and elected to bat. They scored 157 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 25 overs. Iftikhar with 40 runs was the highest scorer for them while as for Parigam club, Farooq took two wickets.
 In reply, Parigam club got all out for 133 runs in 23.2 overs. Raju with 48 runs was highest scorer for them while as for Mattan Club Asif took three wickets. Mattan won match 44 runs. Iftikhar was adjudged Man of the match.
 In second match of the day which was played between Help Line and RCC Blues. Help Line won match by eight wickets. Batting first RCC blues were bundled out for 152 runs in 29 overs. Highest scorer for them was Arif and Faizan scoring 34 runs each while as for Help Line Showkat took three wickets.
 In reply Help Line achieved the required target in just 18.4 overs for the loss of two wickets. For them Abid Nabi scored 103 runs of just 63 deliveries. Abid for his superb knock was adjudged as man of the match.
 On July 26 two matches would be played, in first match Diamond club Islamabad will clash with RCC Bijbehara while as in second match District Shopian will lock horns with Srinagar Gymkhana.
 The tournament is being organised by Bijbehara Sports Club.
